Mailbeam ("we", "us", "our") operates the email verification API available at https://mailbeam.dev. We are the data controller for data collected through our website and dashboard. For data you submit to our verification API, we act as a data processor under your instructions.

2. Data we collect

• Account data: name, email address, and password hash when you register.
• Usage data: API request counts, timestamps, and response codes for billing and debugging.
• Verification data: email addresses submitted for verification. These are not stored after the request completes unless you enable request logging.
• Payment data: processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store card numbers.

3. Legal basis for processing

We process your data under the following legal bases (GDPR Article 6):

• Contract performance — to provide the service you signed up for.
• Legitimate interests — for security monitoring and abuse prevention.
• Legal obligation — to comply with applicable law and tax requirements.
